Welcome to our home in the Falkland Islands.
We are Zak and Libby Bound, and we are delighted to welcome guests to Lafone House. After meeting while training to become ski instructors in Whistler, Canada, we spent several years travelling and working together before making the Falkland Islands our home.
The Falklands have always been a special place for Zak and his family. Zak's father, Mensun Bound, was born and raised in the Falkland Islands, and at just six months old, Zak made his first trip to the islands. From that point on, visiting the Falklands became a yearly tradition, creating a lifelong connection to the islands, their people, and their history.
Together, we quickly fell in love with the Falklands' incredible wildlife, fascinating history, and strong sense of community. What began as an adventure soon became a way of life, and today we are proud to run both Lafone House and Bound Tours, sharing this unique corner of the world with visitors from across the globe.
As local tour guides, we are passionate about helping guests experience the very best of the Falklands. Whether it's advice on where to eat in Stanley, recommendations for wildlife spotting, or stories about the islands' history and culture, we're always happy to help make your stay as memorable as possible.
Lafone House sits on the front road overlooking Stanley Harbour, offering beautiful views across the water and a convenient location within walking distance of shops, restaurants, pubs, and local attractions. We have created a welcoming and comfortable place for guests to relax, unwind, and enjoy everything the Falkland Islands have to offer.
